Jamie Brook

Jamie’s background is in employment and workplace relations, an area of focus that started while she was working in London and one she chose to bring back with her when she returned to Melbourne. She built her career at several leading firms before spending close to a decade working alongside Rob, first at Macpherson Kelley and then at Rigby Cooke, moving from personal assistant through to paralegal in the workplace relations team.

In between, she spent time in the Northern Territory in community-facing roles, including as practice manager at a Women’s Legal Service and in clinic administration at a health clinic in a remote Indigenous community. That work, along with training in trauma-informed and cross-cultural practice, shaped how she approaches running a service: with clear communication and genuine support for the people relying on it.

As Practice Manager, Jamie looks after the day-to-day running of the firm, from systems and workflow to supporting the people who work here, so clients experience a firm that’s organised and easy to deal with. Having worked with Rob for years before this firm existed, she brings that history and continuity into how it runs today.
